MyCAA also benefits the spouses by catering for the fees of any certification of teachers, professionals in medical field or any other professional who requires certification of any kind. The program has made it easier for military spouses to learn and excel.
To apply for MyCAA, the army spouse is required to visit the website and open an account. Depending with information provide on the account, the board decides if the candidate is eligible or not. The applicants who have been selected to join the scholarship program are required to submit their applications 30 days before the course commences.
MyCAA scholarship programs covers the following. The programs basically caters for all costs of tuition and examination fees related to the course the spouse has chosen. MyCAA scholarship also caters for the cost of getting a license or chosen certification from an institution that has been accredited by the government’s accreditation body.
However, while the spouse is taking up MyCAA training program, it is important to note that the program has some areas that it does not cover. The military has an Educations and Training plan and if the course a spouse wishes to take is not in the plan, then the fee for tuition and examinations will not be covered by the scholarship program. It does not also cater for the courses that the military spouse had already enrolled for, or those that the spouse has already completed.
It does not also cover for deposits or any payment that the candidate wish to make in future, unless the course been paid for is part of the course the spouse has enrolled for. The programs also fails to cater for the costs of uniforms or books that the spouse may need during the training.
